Competition Format & Points

~2 min read

7.1 Tournament Structure

Each sport discipline follows a format determined by the number of registered teams. The standard format is Groups + Knockout:

  1. Group Stage: Teams are drawn into groups of 3–4 teams. Each team plays every other team in the group once (single round-robin). The top teams from each group advance to the knockout phase.
  2. Knockout Phase: Single-elimination bracket (quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place play-off, final). All knockout matches must produce a winner on the day.

The OC may adjust the format (e.g., double round-robin, league + playoffs, divisional knockout) based on the number of entries. Any format changes will be communicated at least 7 days before competition begins.
